  How did Noah’s Bark Biscuits start? Noah’s Bark Biscuits was begun after our many years of breeding and showing 200+ champion AKC Golden Retrievers under the kennel name Honor and Noah’s Ark Therapy Dogs. Our emphasis and goal for over 40 years has been long lived, healthy dogs. We have researched dog nutrition for years in order to provide the optimum diet for our own dogs and our clients dogs. Out of these years of learning what dogs thrive on, we have developed the very special recipes that we now offer to all dog owners. Homemade treats are far superior nutritionally than  

 

 mass-made commercial treats because you know exactly what is in them. Most commercially made pet food contains food that is not fit for human consumption. The Whole Dog Journal reports: "However it is difficult to buy treats that are made in the U.S. Nine out of ten treat products are made in Asia or South America (bet you didn't know that - - neither did we until recently). Avoid them on the theory that the lax manufacturing oversight in the U. S. is better than no oversight at all. " (The Whole Dog Journal, May 2007). We know now that other countries do not have the higher standards that the USDA has for food products. This was the problem with the recent pet food and treat re-call and the unnecessary deaths of so many family’s pets.
